“I’ve been interested in astronomy for almost 30 years now, and have been doing astrophotography on and off for about 25 years, having started and having to deal with the light pollution from south London. I now live in a more rural location (though still with some lights around) in W Oxfordshire. I have a permanent setup in my garden, but have also taken a portable setup round France on holidays before – I enjoy both wide field and long focal length astrophotography, and also make variable star observations from home. I’m in the process of setting up a remote observatory with another UK astronomer in the hope of better and clearer skies!”
