QHY128C periodically drops out from USB bus (Rpi3)

About once every couple of nights, the QHY128C will disappear from the USB and the only remedy to bring it back is to powercycle the Raspberry Pi 3 and then reconnect the camera to indiserver.  We take upwards of 1000 25s images each night, so this is on the order of once every 2-3000 images.  It's extremely unacceptable that the remedy is to powercycle the Pi.

Has anyone ever encountered this failure mode, and if so, do you have a remedy?

Thanks,
Henry

How do you connect camera to Pi?Directly?Did you try connect camera via a HUB that can provide power?

Hi QinXiaoXu,

It appears we have solved the issue, it had nothing to do with the QHY camera.  When you restart an rPi, the clock isn't automatically synced with NTP server and so a lot of really weird things can happen, one of which are devices disappearing from the USB bus.  We fixed the clock issue and haven't seen the camera drop from UBS since.

Thanks for your reply,
