Hello,
Did you use the SGP with ASCOM?  Or SGP directly?

For ASCOM. You need to update the QHYCCD.DLL in the ascom folder. It is in C:/PROGRAMME FILES(X86)/COMMON/ASCOM/CAMERA

And is it the 32bit SGP or 64bit SGP?
Best regards,
Qiu Hongyun

I think I was using the 64bit .dll. The smaller 3777kb sized file in the 86 folder is the one I should be using. Thanks.
I?m away with work for a few days so will try when I return.
Over on the SGP forum another user with a QHY600M said that he was getting OUT OF MEMORY errors attributing to 32 bit system of SGP (as the 600 manual warns). There isn?t a 64bit version of SGP.
The SGP developers are running tests but stated that SGP should be able to handle the large files and investigating if it?s the ASCOM driver or SGP.

Are you able to get in touch with the SGP developers to try and sort the issue? They would like some data for testing.
I rarely get clear nights this time of year and I don?t feel like investing time learning a 64 bit program. I will if I have to but it appears from SGP?s view it can be fixed.

Very excited to use the camera when I get a clear night.

Thanks
Matt

Hello,

We also test the SGP via ASCOM on our computer but it has no "out of memory" issue.Since there is different 32bit software running on background on windows. Maybe the 32bit (4GB) is no much left.

We will contact SGP author to see if there is 64bit version in future. Because the pixel is more and more high. QHY600 is not the biggest,  the QHY461 and QHY411 need much more memory and these two camera can not work on 32bit anymore.  Currently the only software we know is N.I.N.A 64bit and the SharpCAP 64bit. I think it is best for SGP to have 64bit version.

Hello,
We did test SGP on our computer and it works well and no "out of memory? issue. Also we have update our SDK for a bug fixed about memory. So please use the lastest version of the QHYCCD SDK.

General question about 600M.

In Specification tab it says "Back Focal Length" is 17.5mm and "short front piece is available" with 6.7mm length only.
Does this 6.7mm long front piece come also with early bird version? Can't find any drawing of it, does it have window heater and what connections are possible (directly to CWF3L or with center/tilt adjust ring)?

Center/tilt adjust ring seems to have desiccant sockets on the side??

Thanks, this camera might become a revolution in DSO imaging...

Hello,

Yes, . The only different is the front part.  We can offer the it with early bird version.   For this one it ihas six M2 screws, so it can connect with other part with customized adapters. The tilt adjustment can be done by insert the copper paste between the adapter and the surface of the camera.  It still have the desiccant socket  on the side. Also.

We did an adapter for QHYCFW3 to allow the QHY600+CFW3+NIKON/CANON lens get the back focal length range.

To prevent the dew , we also designed a small hole to insert the a small pipe for air flow to the front glass of the optic window.
