QHY168C Noise problem last night
« on: November 12, 2017, 10:25:26 pm »
Hi,
Since last night, I have a noise problem with QHY168C.

The image (NGC1579) at right was 300 secondes at -10 deg (a week ago). The Image is very good with low noise.

and image a left was also 300 secondes at -20 deg (last night), I got a lots of noise!!!! :-\

Do you know why a got a lots of noise now? I did a test at -10 deg and I got same result.

I can not process the image... too noisy. The offset and gain seems have no effet. I'm using EzCapture version 0.1.51.1 FWVersion 17-0-20.

Who can help me with this problem?
Thanks.

I think you have a problem with the -20 ° C histogram.
You can adjust the histogram to a similar position and observe the contrast. Noise at -20 ° C will be less than -10 ° C.

Hi,

I agree with, you seem be a histogram  problem but this is not the case. I look the image in Pixinsight and Maxim DL with the same result. Image very noisy with any histogram values.
Camera sensivity seems very low or image seems be in 4 bits!

The only difference that I see is the outdoor temperature is around -8 deg since one week. The carmera works only at 8-10% to go to -20 megs.

Hi,

You can send a fit format dark field of -20 ° C and -10 ° C, let me check to confirm.

Thanks for you help!

Here the 300 secondes FIT files :

http://www.astrorimouski.net/membres/luc/NGC1579-300sec-november11.fit

All the files previous November was perfect, but since November I got the problem.
You can see the result when I apply a Debayer in Pixinsight.

I have only 900 secondes dark file at -20 deg (and they have same problems)
Here the files : (light and dark)

You conveniently tell me what version of your dll file? I will try to restore your shooting situation.

I have installed the latest version of EZCapture. 1.51.4.
and the result is not better.

This is the light frame (debayer) of NGC1579. The noise is very high.

Hello,

This should be a negative voltage output on the cmos board has not output . We will check. What's the environment temperature when you using this camera?

Best regards,
