I just received my new CMOS camera by QHY and trying to use it with indi/ekos on linux.
But it seems that 168C is the only new CMOS camera missing in the list of firmware releases:
github.com/indilib/indi/tree/master/3rdparty/libqhy/firmware

Its usb id is:
Bus 002 Device 017: ID 1618:A167

Am I the first Linux user owning a 168C??

Cheers
Ferrante

Hi,
we are working on it, the linux support is mostly done, just we have to fix the last problem with proper detection of image head.
I am working on it daily.
Sorry, for such long delay.

Yesterday, we qot QHY168c working under Ubuntu Linux 16.x and SDK stuff! Images look good, so we just need to tune it - an overscan area, etc.
We suppose that the support for QHY165c could be released the same day, supposing there will not be some problem(s). Then QHY247c.
Thanks for your patience.

Jan

Just quick note, that the current SDK was tested on Linux & MacOSX with the next  camera models and should work on your site properly:
QHY5II-LM, QHY5III-174M, QHY5III-178C, QHY5III-290C, QHY163M, QHY165C, QHY168C, QHY183C, QHY247C and QHY367C.
Tested with TheSkyX.
Thanks,
Jan

Hi everybody,

I would to ask you if it is possible to run a QHY168C with INDI + EKOS. I have just installed Ubuntu Mate on an old Windows notebook just for fun, and I would like to know if apart from guiding and mount control I would be able to use the 168C.

Best Regards.
Mario.

Hi Mario,
yes, it is possible. I just released an updated QHY SDK driver v1.0.6 running and tested on Ubuntu Mate.
I am daily in contact with Jasem, who uses that driver with his INDI & EKOS. He helped us today a lot!
