[REQUEST] Polemaster adapters

How do you use the polar scope?

Hopefully the bars will be out of focus enough for you still to see the stars.

The polarscope view is between the legs (as shown in the photo) but if you rotate the scope the legs do block the polarscope view. Only thought was that if the polemaster camera was fast (say f2) then the legs would be out of focus but they still may block the view)

If you can provide measurement from the bars to the scope, I will try to place a bar in front of the PM and find it out for you.

Another thing to try is figure out your scope's FOV through the bars and compare it to the PM FOV in the specs.

Great! I'm away for the weekend but I'll take some measurements when I get back. The polarscope it uses is the standard skywatcher NEQ6 if that's of any help in working  out the FOV of the polarscope.

Hello,

Is there any chance to get the polemaster attached to a Vixen GP-D(2) and a Skywatcher EQ8?

Best regards
Mike

I am also interested in the adapter for the EQ8.

Where is best place to send photos of the set up please?

OK Qiuhy here are some photos and dimensions for my Avalon Instruments M-Uno mount.
Im hoping that the Polemaster will be able to see past (or between) the bars and still see enough of the star pattern to work?
Can you advise
a) will polemaster work with this configuration and
b) if so what mounting bracket should I order?

Thanks
Dave

Hey Dave,

It happens that I am making a prototype for the Avalon M-Uno mount adapter. My customer uses a polar scope mounted on the side.

Cool!
Looks nice Robert.
Side mounting is an option for me as well.
Keep me posted as to progress. Assume you would ship to the UK?

Dave,

What polar scope mounting are you using? Do you have the side mounting bracket?

Hi
Could you make a 90 degree adapter to mount on a losmandy or Baader rider clamp?
That would provide the possibillity to use the PoleMaster for high precission aiming.
