Nice :) Any prices?

QHY IMG0H      1/4inch 640*480    ICX618   Exview CCD -- that will go first :) Planetary (the planets, and probably the planetary nebulas)

QHY IMG2S      2/3inch 1360*1024 ICX285   Exview CCD -- and that may go later as a replacement for DSI III Pro (something better suited for short exposures on Sun, overgrown planets from overgrown scopes, and good on DS... but it could be GigE for speed).

And does that glass blocking CCD chamber affects UV and NIR (up to about 1000 nm) ?

Build in Guide port. 4 color LED to indicate the guiding pulse status

Too many LEDS!  More observatory light to put tape over!  Is there an option to turn off the LEDS?

Exposure range setting: 1/1000 to 30 sec ++ OR what?  Can video be captured out of these cameras and at what frame rates?  If video, what formats and with what software?
Are these cameras sort of comparable with the Imaging Source offerings?

Maybe I should just look at the specifications pages.  Where are these located?

Pricing?

I agree we don't need the LEDs and that video (WDM) drivers would be good to have. It would ensure wide compatibility. Frankly I'd be surprised if the camera didn't have a WDM driver but it's worth bringing this up before the camera ships :)
All the best,

Hello,

The LED is for guide pulse indicate. If you do not guiding with the camera, it will no LED on.
the detail spec document will come out soon. Here is a brief answer of the questions:

1. Exposure time =1ms to 167772161ms  (1/1000sec to 16777sec) in normal mode  (Very short exposure from 50us to 1000us is available by specially type)
2. The image can be saved in FIT(8bit/16bit),BMP and JPG format. Video can be saved in uncompressed single channel AVI format(single channel AVI can reduce the image size 3times)
3. frame rate is difference for these camera. For example, the IMG0S is 24FPS in 1024*768,40FPS in 640*480.
4. The camera support both 8bit downloading and 14bit downloding.

The optic windows is a AR coating. And it can be take off by user. If taking off, we suggest do not cool camera to avoid the dew.

For WDM driver we are developing it. But WDM driver do not support the 14bit features.

Best regards,

Do those coating affect somehow passing of light ? Do they cut some bands? If it's something standards used in scopes then it shouldn't affect band passing :)

Few more questions  ;)

- Do you have any estimated prices for Europe (IMG0H, IMG2S)?
- Which software will support those cameras (EzPlanetary, Nebulosity?, other? any in-action screenshots?)
- Will using ROI allow faster frame rates than full frame (if exp. time allows faster)?

The optic glass is AR coating, Should be no blocking in any wavelengh. But I have not messured 1000nm.

We have info our dealer of the price for IMG0H,IMG0S and IMG1S.Please ask our dealer for details.

The software support is EZPlantary(for fast plantary imaging) and EZCAP(for deep sky imaing). QGVideo. ASCOM,  For Nebulosity, PHDGuiding,  PHDPlantary and GuideMaster , we are contact them for supporting.

The default driver support a fixed size ROI (for example, IMG0S's  is 640*480. IMG0H's is 320*240) .It will be faster than full frame.
