QHYCCD Standard Software Q&A / Re: Polemaster Lag Time

Okay, in SharpCap I can set USB traffic. Putting it to "0" seems to work. How can we set this in PoleMaster?

Hi,

Yes. Controlling the camera with SharpCap has the same issue.

Below is the link to the wetransfer log. Also the outline of what I did while generating log output.

connect with gain setting:70 and exp: 100 no video at at all
set gain and exp. to 50 and disconnect
reconnect with gain/exp set to 50 and video appears only when using mouse

QHYCCD Standard Software Q&A / Re: Polemaster Lag Time
« on: November 25, 2019, 02:44:18 PM »
Another piece of the puzzle... I use my laptop only for PoleMaster and polar alignment. I use a desktop PC (Windows 10) in my home (connected via USB active repeater cable) to remotely control my scope during imaging. As a test, I installed PoleMaster on my Desktop machine and connected the PoleMaster camera to the USB hub on my mount. I then took the laptop outside and used remote desktop to access PoleMaster on the desktop machine (which is now where the PoleMaster camera is connected) and it worked perfectly. Talk about going around your elbow to get to your thumb! lol

Regardless, this appears to be mostly affecting laptops for some reason. Perhaps that can offer a clue to where the problem is.

Ran the debug view with the compiled version you supplied. I attached the debug output. Where the return values for getliveframe are not -1 is where I rapidly moved the mouse. Hope this helps...

Is this fixed yet? Was just out with Polemaster on Win 10 laptop and version 1.3.2.8 and it's not working properly still.

Image Issue Q&A / Re: New Qhy163m USB 3.0 cable error
« on: November 30, 2017, 06:54:01 PM »
After perusing the forums, I came across a post where you mentioned a loose, brown, FPC cable. Indeed, I opened the camera up and found the latch was not secured on this cable. I have not had another issue since fixing this. Hopefully, this will take care of all of the troubles I have had with this otherwise great camera.
If you are having random lines on your images or having downloads that do not complete, I would suggest you check this out. Hopefully the QC on these cameras improves so no one else has to deal with this problem.

Image Issue Q&A / Re: New Qhy163m USB 3.0 cable error

I am having similar issues. I can connect reliably to the camera but any software I use will not download any images. They all just stay at "Downloading". This has been an intermittent and extremely frustrating issue with this camera since day 1. Some nights it just works but mostly not....
I have replaced USB3 cables 3 times and that doesn't help. I have tried it with EZCAP and SGP and the result is the same. I updated all drivers and checked to make sure that there is no other software conflicting. Very dissapointed in this camera's performance so far....

Thanks for the fast reply. I deleted the .ini file and it is now working. Thank you.

I have the QHYCFW2-S and QHY163M with the newest native and ASCOM drivers installed and when using the newest version of EZCap_QT, the program crashes when I click the setup button for the filter wheel.

New Camera Information / QHYEFW Light Leak
« on: January 08, 2017, 11:51:41 AM »
As a courtesy to future buyers, it would be nice to include some M3 x(3 or 4)mm cap screws to go into the OAG threaded holes on the filter wheel. If you aren't using the OAG or the M42 to 2" adapter, there is a significant light leak.
