     Recently we have an experimental 8bit debayer in the SDK. And it can handle this format but it is doing the debater directly inside the SDK. And you can obtain the color image. If you want to have a try we can arrange it.

Hello,

       You can increase the USB_TRAFFIC to see if it works stable.  Some computer can not get 44FPS @ USB traffic=0.  Increase the USB traffic can reduce the bandwidth and let the image come out more smooth.

Hello,
      QHY600 should come with a silicon gel tube. Please check the user manual that how to using this silicon gel to dry the chamber.

       For a long term using without maintenance,like the remote telescope and no human there. You can use a larger silicon tube and it will keep many years. The larger silicon gel tube can hold more silicon gel and it can last very long time. And a pipe can connect between the camera and this silicon gel tube. 
   
       The large silicon tube is not includes in the standard package of the camera. You can order it from the chemistry shop, or order the kit from QHYCCD. (send email to our technical support cha@qhyccd.com for details)

        Because there is a different timing requested. The GPIO port can be customized as the user requirement.

 
 
        Since the QHY600 is a rolling shutter camera. So the things will become more complex than global shutter sensor. For your application.  I have a question.

(1) Is the environment is totally black and only in the event there is the light and you want to capture this event?

(2) If the event is driven by other timing and this timing can transfer to camera?  Or, can this event controlled by camera (camera send the machine a signal and the machine make a event).

Hello,

       The SONY IMX183 sensor do have this glow like this . It is normal. But with correct dark calibration it can be removed all.

        The 163 should have some glow on top and buttom but is not a spot .

        The zero ampglow sensor is :

       In next SDK / system release (should be about one week) We will change all of the QHY294C stuff (system driver and SDK code ) to the same with QHY294C-PRO.  The only different is it has no 47MP mode. I think this should solve something in this topic.

Hello,
        If the guide optic patch is longer than the imaging optic patch. You need to increase the image optic patch by insert more spacer between OAG and camera.  You may need to order the longer spacer. We should have such a space. And also the chanllege is that you need to calculate the distance and also find the suitable screw for this length .

        Another simple solution is change to QHY5III462C which has shorter back focal length.

From the image you post I believe the problem is solved. The satuarted level is close to 65000. Before this fixing the satuarted level is just about 30000. Much lower than the satuarted level.

Thank you for the reply but something is definitely not right.
Well the thing is that during my test the camera was pointed at a bright light source and neither 20 nor 100 sec was enough for complete saturation. Every pixel should saturate to ADC full scale if the camera is exposed for enough time.
Now we have the following in 11 MP mode: gain=0-1599 saturaion is complete; gain=1600-~2000 saturation level is only close to 65k but never complete regardless of exposition time.

      I think  " Every pixel should saturate to ADC"    should not be right.  There is no rules to say that every pixel should satuarted to ADC.  The gain is just play the role that adjust the ADC input level to match with the signal.  You can adjust the gain to let it match, over-match or sub-match the ADC.

     Since 1600 is the HGC/LGC switch point. And both HGC/LGC has their own Gain adjustment.  So 1600 is the gain=0 for HGC mode.

     For gain = 0.  We always want to let the whole range of all pixel is under the ADC range.  For both CCD and CMOS, the pixel photodiode fullwell has a little difference. For example. Pixel(0,0) has a fullwell of 65000 . Pixel(0,1) is 66000. Pixel (1,0) is 64800. So it is a spread.  Normally we want to keep most of the pixel does not exceed the ADC range in gain 0.  So you will see a histogram near the 65535.

     If you keep on incrase the gain, for example, increae to 2000 . The amplifer ratio will increase and cause all the pixel saturate signal exceed the maxium range of the ADC. And you will see all pixel become 65535.

Hello,

      QHY268 and QHY600 has the same 3.76um pixel structure so they should have similar QE.  We only tested the QHY600M QE and it is about 87% to 89%.  Since the Bayer filter the peak QE should be a little lower than monochrom . I think it should be <87%. 

      I see some other QE curve of the color BSI sensor. Most of them is > 80%.  So I can guess the QE of QHY268C is between about 80% to 87%.

       Due to the high orders so the QHY294MPRO is always out of stock in Nov and Dec. We increase the produce capability and the conditions become better and better.

       The QHY294MPRO and keeping on delivery and we also fixed some bug in SDK and just released a new system driver/SDK.

        Yesterday we released a new system driver and SDK to solve the following issue:
1.  10bit issue. Now it is 12bit
2.  The image is half satuarted when exposure > 2sec and use the gain >200 in 47mp or the gain >1600 in 11mp.

        You can try the new one and see if it can solve .
