Regarding the issue of camera back-intercept, we will explain in detail on the corresponding webpage. For QHY268, there will be the following situations.

QHY268C: 17.5mm (without CAA)
This intercept does not include CAA. If CAA is used, it increases by 6mm (23.5mm total).
Note: The 17.5mm (?0.3) rear intercept does not include the thread. After the central inclination adjustment ring is added, the M54*0.75 internal thread is included.

QHY268M: 12.5mm (with CAA)
If used with the QHY filter wheel, the actual calculated intercept is 12.5mm. The actual BFL (the intercept from the CMOS chip to the top of the camera) is 14.5mm. Since most uses will match CFW with monochrome cams, please take 12.5 mm as major reference.
Note 14.5mm rear intercept does not include adapter thread, which must be used with adapters of various sizes through the top 6 screw holes.

Regarding the matching plan, QHY will officially issue a 55mm rear intercept, and a standard plan for Canon or Nikon rear intercept. Of course, if you have special requirements, we can still recommend the custom adapter manufacturer precisionpart for you. You only need to place an order on this page according to your needs.

New Camera Information / Re: QHY294M-Pro problem at 47M
« on: Today at 02:04:44 AM »
Regarding the above issue in this post, the dual pixel phenomenon that cannot output 12-bit and 11M mode in 47M mode has been fixed in the latest driver and SDK. If you encounter similar problems in use, please download the latest allinone installation update to solve it. The download link is as follows: https://www.qhyccd.com/file/repository/publish/AllInOne/210313/QHYCCD_Win_AllInOne.

Image Issue Q&A / Re: QHY268M gain numbers vs gain graphs
« on: May 10, 2021, 03:27:38 AM »
Dear Johan

The gain 0-100 in the figure is equal to the actual value set in the software, because the gain curve above 100 has not been tested theoretically, because the parameters behind the analog gain are of little significance. It is recommended to use a gain of 0-100 for setting.

Hello Carsten

QHY5III485 uses IR-CUT filter, if you need, you can purchase AR-pass front end for replacement

Image Issue Q&A / Re: Shadow throwing on QHY16200A CCD sensor

This is because the center is bright and the edges are dark due to the lens or telescope effect. It is not that the front end of the camera is too small, so modifying the front port diameter of the camera will not solve it. If you encounter hardware occlusion and calibrate the flat field, it will not be solved. At this time, you need to modify the hardware occlusion.

Bernd is right. This is the CMOS amp glow, which belongs to the characteristics of this CMOS chip. It is a normal phenomenon. You can eliminate it by dark field calibration.

You can follow the latest curve chart published on the official website, which is the result of our retest after adding Extend Fullwell 2CMSIT. If you need the Excel version, please tell me your email address and I will send it to you by email.

New Camera Information / Re: QHY268C No Threads on Front Dovetail
« on: February 24, 2021, 05:08:59 AM »

In fact, the 17.5mm rear intercept of QHY268C will not include thread, and M54*0.75mm thread will be included only after the center tilt adjustment ring is used.
However, QHY has a very complete adapter ring system, through the 6 screw holes on the center inclination adjustment ring, you can combine various sizes of interfaces. You can view the combined drawings here.

Or you can tell me your needs, I can help you recommend the ring to meet your requirements

Mechanical Q&A / Re: Can't focus QHY268M & QHY174M with OAG
« on: February 24, 2021, 04:04:23 AM »

You can adjust the order of the spacers according to the pictures in the attachment to shorten the back focus of the guide camera. In addition, if you extend the OAG prism pole too long, it will also cause the guide star to fail to achieve focus, so you need to adjust the extension length of the prism pole.

Hello Niels

I have received your FIT format image. It depends on the CMOS chip, which may be an unrecoverable artifact caused by cosmic rays. We plan to replace one for you. Where are you? Can you tell me your address and email? I will arrange for a maintenance engineer to contact you for replacement。

Regarding the ghosting problem you mentioned, you can update the latest Allinone installation package released by QHY. As for the single streak artifact you mentioned earlier, have you ever observed whether it is included in the dark field frame, can you send FITS format images? This helps us to determine whether the artifact comes from inside the CMOS chip.

Do you mean read noise? Here you can see the read noise of QHY294M at each gain,

I have received the image you sent. In flat, the image caused by light leakage cannot reach the bright center and dark edges. Can you check the edge seal of this system? Or help me take photos from the camera to the connection end of the telescope.
In addition, does this abnormal flat only appear in the Ha channel? Have you tried other filter channels? Have you had similar problems.

Hello  When the high-speed or low-speed mode is changed, the corresponding calibration frame needs to be re-shot

Image Issue Q&A / Re: Banding in 294M image
« on: January 21, 2021, 07:24:32 PM »
I checked Kevin?s image. In fact, this kind of random streaks is a characteristic of CMOS chips. For this kind of non-periodic streaks, a certain amount of dark field calibration can usually be used to eliminate it. If the calibration is not enough, you can increase the dark The number of field frames to reproduce the main dark field frame.
