Image Issue Q&A / QHY268M download hangup
« on: April 14, 2021, 09:01:50 PM »
I loaded All in One drivers on a clean Win10 machine using SGP.  The first image downloads fine often the second does the same but on third try  the green download line just scrolls across window never producing an image.  I have to abort.  I have to go into Ascom setting and change any setting by just 1 number and reconnect  and I get 1 maybe 2 more images before going into the download loop.

It is the only device connected to the computer and using supplied USB cord and feeding it 12.15V with power supply. Using High Gain factory settings.

QHYCCD Standard Software Q&A / Uodating SDK
« on: May 31, 2020, 09:23:10 AM »
I noticed in Update Checker there was a newer SDK available for my 163m.  Is it as simple as replacing the ".dll" file? or is there an installation process?

After getting familiar with settings and file management I processed my first "good" image.  Coming from an 8L there is a big difference in processing an LRGB image.

Astronomy equipment Discussion board / QHYCFW3 installing filters
« on: January 07, 2020, 08:35:14 PM »
I claim ignorance. Just received this filter wheel to use 36mm unmounted filters (2mm thick).  I read the instruction found here:

 https://www.qhyccd.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=30&id=186

I still do not understand which spacer or screw to use from the items included (see photo).  I'm sure it's simple but I just spent a fortune on filters and would like to do this right the first time without pinching, scratching, marring the filters.

I recently replaced the main board on my camera and wanted to show that the new board works just fine and thank QHY for the ease in fixing my problem.

Image Issue Q&A / QHY8L problem
« on: December 12, 2017, 12:08:24 PM »
My camera has developed a problem capturing images.  Attached is a screen shot of a "Frame and Focus" shot (disregard the white and focus on the left edge)  These lines are showing up in my images.  I suspect it's the DC-201 because changing cables has no effect.

My attempt to keep the 8L relevent.  I left the artifacts in the upper corners on purpose as they are scientifically correct for the orientation of the image. I think the splash of spectrum adds to the color appeal.

Hello,
This image was taken from my back yard which is 3 miles from the Atlantic and 10 feet above sea level.  The sky is fairly dark (yellow on the map).  I will never be able to overcome the rough seeing due to low altitude but I try to get the best results for my location.
