Isn't that just another 5 x 2" wheel?

Image Issue Q&A / Re: qhy5l ii binning
« on: June 07, 2013, 11:06:14 AM »
Add them where? In the AD. I didn't think you could dump charges into a readout pixel like a ccd. If they are averaged, why bother?

Image Issue Q&A / qhy5l ii binning

I don't understand how this will work.
It''s not a ccd so it has to be done on the other side of the A/D converter.
I see a register to turn it on but how does it work?

Can you clarify what binning in this sensor does please.

I'm guessing it sends the additive digital data from 4 pixels to the A/D where as a CCD dumps the data into a readout pixel first.

I don't see the difference?

The IC8300 does not return a search result.
I'm guessing it's just another 8300 chip in a different box.
Sort of flogging a dead horse there aren't you?

It's almost 12 months since this new wheel was announced -> http://qhyccd.com/ccdbbs/index.php?topic=3371

Is there any more news, drawings, measurements or even an ETA ?

New Camera Information / Re: Qhy5LII and Color Filter Wheel?

Yep. You need the qhy cal software to rotate the wheel first up.

There is an M54 Female to M42 male adapter for the wheel .. QHY stock it .. I thought it came with the wheel ?

Then something like this -> http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p210_Visual-Back-T2-to-1-25----with-additional-T2-male-thread---long.html

You can do anything with the right adapters :)

Ok, now I see, the optic windows comes out and these adapters screw in.
I'll see if Theo has any on hand here.

Ok now I'm confused. I need a 1.25" extension, the camera is too short.

As far as I know a CS-thread and a C-thread are both 25mm. This camera is 22mm without the retaining ring and 20mm with it.

What thread is on the extender?

Accessories by QHYCCD or Third Part Supply / QHY5L II nosepiece

Hi,  Where can I get one of these or, what thread is in the nose of the QHY5L II so I can make one. I was stupid enough to order a c-thread to 1.25" nose locally and it won't fit.

What I need is to extend length without a shoulder.

What's wrong with the qhy22?
Way more sensitive than either of those old cameras.

What do you get if you turn the cooler off?
I think removing the 12v supply will turn the cooler off.
