Title: Mounting Polemaster off the RA axis
Post by: fodman03 on March 04, 2021, 10:05:25 AM
The Polemaster Manual says:

2. Is it necessary to install PoleMaster coaxial to the RA axis?
No. You will only need to have them approximately aligned. The rotation center determination is determined algorithmically and does
not rely on accurate mechanical alignment

I have the dovetail adapter from ADM as my Celestron CGE Pro mount does not have a polar alignment hole.  My question is this - Is there a limit on how far off the RA axis the Polemaster can be mounted??  My installation will place the Polemaster approximately 6 inches (15 cm) from the RA Axis.

Thanks,
